Use one folder for the video. Put the MP4, references, screenshots, and working assets there so the agent has one clean workspace.

Edit video with
the coding agent
you already use.
Bare Video is a small editing skill, not another editor to learn. Build a brief here, hand it to your coding agent, and let the agent work with FFmpeg, HyperFrames, and transcription tools already available to it.
Your video stays with your agent and tools. This website only builds the instructions.
Video building blocks
Pick what the agent is allowed to use.
These are not templates. They are four visual building blocks the agent can combine inside one edit. Choose a subset, allow all four, or leave the choice to the agent.
you are talking about.

How Bare Video works
The browser builds the brief.
Your coding agent edits the video.
Nothing is rendered on this website. The prompt tells your coding agent what you want, and the Bare Video skill tells it how to make good editing decisions with the tools in your project.
Open that folder in your coding agent and tell it exactly which video file to edit. The website never needs the file path.
Choose transcription, how you want to collaborate, one editing theme, allowed visual blocks, captions, sound, and preview behavior.
The agent reads Bare Video, inspects the real footage and assets, then uses FFmpeg and optional HyperFrames only where they help.
You react to a real draft. The agent fixes what matters, checks picture and audio, then exports the final video.
Build the prompt
Choose the edit.
Not the file path.
Bare Video only needs your editing preferences. Keep the actual MP4 in the project folder you open with your coding agent, then point the agent to that file when you paste the prompt.
One folder per video is easiest to clean up later.
Add the MP4 plus any references, screenshots, images, or logos.
Your coding agent should work from that folder, not from a mystery global workspace.
Tell the agent which video file is the source, then paste the prompt below.
Optional. One sentence is enough. The agent still inspects the real footage before deciding the edit.
Choose the transcription route. The agent checks what already exists before downloading models or using cloud services.
Keep this simple. Plan first if you want control before editing, or let the agent make a concrete draft.
The theme controls how captions, layouts, proof, backgrounds, cards, colors, and motion feel. It does not force a rigid template.
The selected theme styles these blocks. Turn off anything you do not want in the edit.
These choices shape how often the edit changes and how much captions and sound contribute.
Use the guide or skip it
Start guided.
Stay flexible.
Use the prompt builder. It explains the decisions and gives you one copy-paste handoff.
Point your agent at the repo and the Bare Video skill. Use your own folders, tools, and references.
Copy or clone the repo into the project, point your agent at the Bare Video skill, and customize that local copy if you want. The public repo stays a clean boilerplate.
